The Wandering Soul

Farther you go, memory comes near,
I cry aloud, but you can’t hear.

The world applauds the smile on my face,
Beneath it sleeps the deadliest fear.

You touched my eyes, and I smiled,
My eyes now shed an ocean of tears.

How shall I quiet this wandering soul?
My heart remains here, its beats are there.

You came and taught me how to live my life;
Now teach me death - and disappear.
